Coba Biomedical

Engineering what surgery needs next.

Tilt your phone. The logo is pressed into the page.

The idea

A stage for real work.

Coba is a quiet white stage for disciplined, precise and fast work. Real people and real footage do the talking. The logo stays small, colour stays rare, and tone carries the brand. On that stage, everything has a place, and the only light is where two parts join.

FlatThe logo is never embossed, glassy or lit. It stays flat and lets the surface do the work.
The pocketWhere things live. Lift an instrument out and its empty shape still tells you what it was.
The joinWhere things connect. Electric and Ice appear only where two parts meet.

The rise

Instruments rise out of the page.

Every instrument sits in a recess cut to its exact outline, flush with the surface. As you arrive, it lifts out and casts a real shadow. For Burrow, the join between handpiece and attachment is where the light is.

Exact outlineRecesses follow the real instrument, never a generic box.
Straight and levelInstruments sit level. Never tilted for drama.
One liftA few millimetres, with a true shadow. Nothing flies.

The cut

One line, with light inside.

A straight cut through the surface. Inside it, light moves from Ice to Electric to Deep. It’s the only place blue lives, and it always means the same thing: what Coba is building next, and the way closer.

HairlineA detail or divider.
SeamSomething held back.
OpenA reveal, or access.
One per pieceA page, a card, a box or a post carries one cut or one blue edge. Never two.
Always straightVertical by default, horizontal when the layout needs it.

Signature motion

The sketch.

An instrument draws itself line by line as you scroll, then separates into its parts. Every line lights Electric while it’s being drawn, then settles into ink. It shows the thinking before the thing.

Better instruments don’t start with instruments.

They start with what the surgeon is trying to do.

Signature motion

The fit.

The part settles into a pocket cut to its exact shape. When two parts meet, the join lights. It’s the only colour on the white.

A fresh one, every case.

Photo and video

Real work, in real time.

Less logo, less graphic, more tone. You should know it’s Coba from the look of a frame before you see the name.

Real people, workingEngineers, machinists and surgeons doing the job. Nobody posing, nobody looking at the camera.
Precision, shot closeHands, tolerances, a part coming off the machine, an attachment seating.
Speed, in real timeFootage runs at real speed with hard cuts. Never slowed down for drama.
Cool daylightTrue whites and clean, even light. One light grade that looks the same in every frame.
Real soundPlays muted by default, with captions taken from what was actually said.
The logo, onceSmall and flat, in a corner or on the end frame. The footage carries the brand.
A surgeon’s hands in the operating room, showing the problem.
An engineer beside the surgeon. Daylight, no posing.
A part coming off the machine, real time.
A tolerance being checked, very close.
The finished part in a gloved hand.
Something on the bench, out of focus. Never the product itself.

These frames show the tone of each shot until real footage replaces them.
